4.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant and tragic story of courage and Hounor, 14 Sep 2000
This is about the true story of the kings household staff were formed and sent of to fight during WW1 and the battle of Gallipoli between Britian and Turkey were they met there tragic end. All the acting and the battle scenes respectively are well written and performed but it is both David Jason and Ian Mcdirmid who give brilliant performances and really make this shine. A well done story with charachters who were you could not help but feel for.

5.0 out of 5 stars Really good film., 18 April 2009
By Susie Q "Bob's wife" (Wirral Cheshire) - See all my reviews
I bought the DVD for my husband. Didn't think it was my sort of film but I really enjoyed the story. As it is a true story it was sad but very good to watch. The acting was good and could be watched by the whole family. Very entertaining!
