The most original and funny comedy seen since Monty Python., 2 Oct 2001

As boxed sets go, they're often a sprat to catch a mackerel. A clever corporate concept of squeezing that little bit of extra cash out of the public. However, Ella communications has more than pulled out the stops, thrown out the baby with the bath water and even thrown in the kitchen sink too. This collection shows precisely why ol' Eddie is one of the most funny, original and downright quirky comics since the Python posse had the country in stiches when the dead parrot sketch hit the screen. Where Izzard excels is in the way he tells the truth and educates through comedy without the bile of being over political or simply unfunny. Somehow, the transvetite (or 'male tomboy' as he likes to be known) talks about the Noah's Ark with Sean Connery as Noah, subverts Pavlov and bizzarely enough makes you cry with laughter about toasters. The never before seen 'Lust For Glorious' is also thrown in. A spoof documentary about Eddie Izzarrd and the meeting with his American P.R. team is so downright funny it makes Roy Mallards' docu-parodies seem as stiff as 2 week old corpse. And, not only is his previous stand up shows all here, but a special one off live performance in France....in french, where the surrealist comic does more for anglo-french relations than a certain french speaking UK prime minister. With a wit as sharp as a freshly sharpened knife, and an intellect that is broad, caring and hilariously funny you wish that not just all comedians were like messrs Izzard, but politicians as well.
