4.0 out of 5 stars Hazel's enthusiasm alone inspire us to success, 9 Mar 2000
By A Customer
In part one of two of Hazel's Watercolour Flower Painting Workshop book and video package Hazel proves that you don't need to be a botanist to paint flowers! Using wet in wet and wet on dry techniques we are introduced to a plethora of flowers such as the lily, gerbera, rose and many more.

Set in a beautiful studio crammed with flowers, Hazel's enthusiasm and zest for life and painting shine through and inspire us to create our own flower paintings.

In part 2 Hazel concentrates on showing us how to incorporate highlights into our paintings. Perhaps you prefer to scratch out the colour? Use gouache or masking fluid? Or perhaps even 'dab' out the paint with tissue, either way you'll begin, like i did, to see a successful painting appear.

No flower painting is complete without a background, we learn this from Hazel as she explain that we perhaps ought to plan our background even before we start to paint as it can have a dramatic effect on this finished picture.
