5.0 out of 5 stars one of the best, 29 Oct 2001
By A Customer
This has to be one of the best UFC's. Its hard to describe why, perhaps its because im a Gracie fan. There arent any KO's but there are some amazing + exciting fights
Royce v Hackney gives Royce his first real test(one of my favourite fights)
Hackney smacking Joe Son ...is hilarious
Severns v Macias demonstrates the coming of "the Beast"
They are all really good but Bowen v Jennum is amazing and easily the best fight on the tape

not as good as 6 or 2 but still amazing

4.0 out of 5 stars UFC IV - Ultimate Fighting Championship, 12 Nov 2001
UFC IV Fight Card:
Ron Van Clief (Karate) Vs. Royce Gracie (Jui Jitsu)
Joe Son (Josondo) Vs. Keith Hackney (Kenpo Karate)
Melton Bowen (Boxing) Vs. Steve Jennum (Ninjitsu)
Anthony Macius (Muay Thai) Vs. Dan Severn (Wrestling)

Alt Fight: Guy Metzger (Kickboxing) Vs. Jason Fairn (Jui Jitsu)

With the entry of Dan Severn into the Octagon makes for some
entertaining fights. His sheer size and weight makes him a formidable opponent
and promptly turns a number of inexperienced ground fighters into pulp.
Gracie again is on form and begins to integrate some of his stand up skills as well as some
punching and elbowing from the mounted position. Gracie has some real tough fights
in UFC IV and has a serious test of his endurance and character.
Keith Hackney fights well and has a very entertaining fight against a
complete tosser of an opponent, Jo Son (Kimo's manager). Steve Jennum has a surprisingly tough fight against the Boxer, Melton Bowen, who puts on a very gutsy show.
The Alternate fight was a nice addition to this video and has a couple of nice reversals.
Overall the standard of fighter seems to be better here, as there are less
poorly conditioned fighters (except pot-belly Jo Son).
Unfortunately Jim Brown is still on the commentary team, whose unintelligible comments are best ignored (Stick to Football Jim !!). However we see the addition of Jeff Blatnick (Recco Roman Wrestling) to the commentary team, and takes the UFC commentary to a higher standard.
A good buy.
