1.0 out of 5 stars Worthless surfing on the "Schindler's List" wave., 17 Nov 2003

(REAL NAME)
I have recently bought a lot of videos, dvds and books about national socialism and the Holocaust. This video is, without comparison, the most worthless of the lot. While the documentary film cuts of nazi horror should more or less speak for themselves, they are ruined by turgid American comments in a rhetoric Joseph Goebbell would have been proud of - with opposite signs, of course. What is worse: The people at LaserLight Video have reproduced the documentary clips so miserably that charging for this product is nearly a crime - ALL of the film clips are overexposed and totally lack sharpness - you could, perhaps, blame the circumstances when the films were made for SOME of that, but surely not for the entire documentary! In addition, the sound is consistently blurred and the commentator is a disaster. And Oscar Schindler? You will not get a single piece of information in this documentary that is not available in Spielberg's "Schindler's List". This video seems to have been made exclusively on the purpose of extracting as much money as possible from people whose interest in the Holocaust has been generated by Spielberg's film. For God's sake - buy a copy of "Schindler's list" instead!
