You can probably judge this pretty well from the cover. I should say that this is not as glossy and slick as say Moon Warriors so for a lot of people will not be 5 star from a film making point of view. This is more from the John Waters / porno schools of lofi film making than breathtaking Chinese cinematography á la Red Sorghum or incredible sequences of Last Hero of China for example. However if you are after kitsch psyched-out comic book stuff this is the bomb. Barely a plot here - more an array of crazed chop socky and classic comic cameos strung together - but compelling entertainment. Hardcore fun includes the usual curmudgeonly masters and mad meanies with supernatural powers + the fab fighting pot. Will likely appeal to fans of Mr Vampire, Moon Warriors, Spooky Encounters, Chinese Ghost Story. Very psychedelic.
