These movies set the horror genre way back when, the acting is great and the scripts are well written, each movie takes you into the mind of the Child Killer Freddy Krueger... Although `Freddys revenge` does not continue the story as moves 1 and 3 do it is still terrifyingly brilliant the way these movies were created... definately not to be watched without the light switch near by

'The Dream Warriors' a definate improvement as it brings back the heroine of the first movie (Nancy) who now majors in dream therapy, and what she finds is far from what she expects, the man who haunted her dreams, killed her friends and nearly killed her is back and now he is feeding on the souls of theses poor defenseless teenagers who are being classed as Grade A loons... it's only then that Nancy shows them their true dream potential... only now can they fight Freddy and not all will survive..

A definate must for all you horror fans out there

The 1st 3 elm st movies in the series captured horror,suspence and story.As the movies progressed over the years we saw a more comical freddy kruger played by robert england.
As these most unessasary sequals where being constantly developed the franchiser started to wear thin.
A nightmare on elm st really became a nightmare to fans.
The comic book idea took over the film 4,5,6 Than the low budget tv series was made,They than pulled the plug after making there new nightmare(ANOESt 7)into there worst nightmare.

Horror flicks of today will never capture the true esence of
what it takes to make a good horror movie.
these days people try and take a movie like halloween and friday the 13th wack on a "x" or a homecoming and think that everyting will be alright.$$$
when will they ever learn?
