4.0 out of 5 stars The World's Greatest Showman comes to your screen...., 28 Nov 2000
By A Customer
I saw this show in Glasgow a few days before this gig was recorded. From memory, Alice sang better and the keyboards were less evident in Glasgow than on the DVD. However, the DVD more than amply captures the theatrics of a live Alice Cooper show.

Most of the new album is there, but so are many of the classics - School's Out, Poion, Ballad of Dwight Fry, Under My Wheels, Elected - plus a cover of My Generation.

The extras include the "Gimme" single video, which is both well-edited and funny at the end. This was previously only available on the CD single. The Song Selection is handy for letting you jump to your favourite track.

The only let down with this DVD is Alice's voice isn't always up to the same high standard. It could be the fact that this was recorded after maybe three or four consecutive shows around Britain, but whatever the reason, the memory of that Glasgow concert will always remain better than the video reminder.

5.0 out of 5 stars Brutaly Brilliant, 8 Jun 2003
By liam connolly (Cardiff, Wales UK) - See all my reviews
Being an alice cooper fan i was thrilled at this DVD, many a time i have bought a Live video/DVD and have watched once and left it to collect dust, because without the atmosphere of a live show there is little point in watching axl rose run up and down a stage for 2 hours, or ozzy osborne banging his head up and down to a familiar tune [despite these both being exelent musicians in there own right]
however, Brutality live [among all other alice cooper live shows] really is live eye candy, with proggresion throughout the set, really one you'd want to watch aswell as listen. with an exelent set list with new and old material, and in such a good order, they run together so well,
i was pleasently surprised when i saw alice on the Monsters Of Rock tour in november 2002 when i found the set and stage antics were almost identical to that of this DVD and couldnt have hoped for anything better

5.0 out of 5 stars Can you get better, 30 May 2001

ALICE IS BACK!!

Reading through the other reviews there are good points, yes the crowd weren't very impressive, but hey! since when do you buy a DVD to watch the crowd!! Apart from the audience the DVD was amazing, good quality sound an vision and alice was his good old self with some excellent mix of new and old material!

Love the sword and cape thing!

Speaking as someone who was there, I was up the back though, I went to watch and listen. Watching is half the fun of alice cooper and you can get all that from the DVD, which I think the crowd stood in awe at a man who is truely a god in the heavy metal world, alice! alice! alice! alice! alice!!
