World Cup Review - 1974 And 1978, 22 Jan 2004
At 80 minutes this video is too short to give a complete coverage of two World Cup tournaments, but it does give a good overview and includes coverage of games in the early rounds. It concentrates on the soccer action with an excellent British commentary. Unfortunately the commentator occasionally tells you what is going to happen just before it happens. For the time period the picture quality is mostly excellent but some sequences are murky. Expect only the occasional action replay. Stand out goals include; 1974

Haan, Holland v West Germany,

Italy v Argentina 1978 The 1974 and 1978 World Cup tournaments were outstanding and this video fills a gap in our video record. The video was produced in 1994 from archive footage, it is a limited release and it may be hard for you to find a copy. I can fully recommend it to anyone who needs a record of these tournaments.
