You get two 25-minute workouts here: both are low-impact, aerobic routines alternating with intervals of lower-body muscle work using the body's resistance, no weights. The aerobic segments are taught by Fonda and two other instructors. The choreography is simple--nothing more complicated than step-touch, grapevine, heel digs, marches, and hamstring curls--and each move is repeated many times. If you like choreography challenges, this video won't hold your interest, but if you like to keep your choreography simple, or if you are a beginner to aerobic dance, you will be at ease here. The intervals of lower-body training, taught by Fonda, include moves such as stationary lunges, squats (without weights) and standing leg lifts. Both workouts end with abdominals and a stretch. I was not sure about this workout at first. I wanted a workout to really target my problem areas and after searching online, decided to give Jane Fonda - Abs, Buns and Thighs a try.

I started by just looking briefly at the content and then felt that I had probably made a mistake because the workout seemed easy and would not properly deliver the intensity and result that I was looking for, since I was not new to working out and wanted something to really hit the spot and increase my heart rate.

Well .... I was in for a surprise. For as soon as I started this workout I knew and felt that it was working. Jane had me stopping to catch my breath and there were times that the burn was so intense I would cry out. I was even more surprised when I ached the following day and then the day after that.

I especially loved the abs and buns segment and it turned out that this was exactly what I really needed to hit the spot and get the result I needed.

You will love it and most importantly feel it work. This workout would be great for beginners as well as those who are advanced and was well worth it for me. The added bonus was that there was great music to keep you moving.

This video is brilliant for people with less time to spare getting fit. Its 25 minute sessions can be fitted more easily around a busy life. As a mother of two young children I find it the best exercise video I've tried. I can manage to do it most days and feel brilliant afterwards. The choreography is simple so you don't have to spend ages learning complicated steps and can get down to the business of fitness instead! Thank you, Jane! Having bought this one, I'm really keen to sample her others.

If you don't have hours and hours to spend on your workout, this will really be the tape for you. A mixture of aerobics that is challenging enough and muscle toning on those annoying areas of the lower body. The amazing thing is that after the 25 minute program was over, I really felt it in my muscles. So, even though it's short, it's effective. By the way, there are two different 25 minute routines, so you won't get bored.
