4.0 out of 5 stars Classic Train Journeys: Another view of Scotland, 1 Oct 2001
By A Customer
This film captures the excitement of rail travel as seen from the driver's perspective. It also gives an appreciation of the diversity of Scotland's unique landscape.

The excellent narration does not intrude from letting you feel you are driving the train yourself. It is a bonus to have several different journeys covered by one film: the West Coast line footage is breathtaking.

Crossing the Forth and Tay bridges was spectacular and the photography captured from both the train cab and a helicopter combined to give the full picture.

Speeds of 90 m.p.h. were reached and the contours the train hugged as it kissed the mountainous terrain kept me on the edge of my seat.

This is the best publicity film for Scottish tourism without them possibly realising it!
