5.0 out of 5 stars Great Film, but nobody's seen it!, 28 Aug 2003
2 Days in the Valley is a brilliant film. Fast-paced, with action, murder, romance and black humour, there is nothing that this film doesn't have. James Spader plays assassin Lee, who is (in my opinion) the best character in the film. The musical score adds to the build-up of tension and suspense in the film. There are many humorous moments (involving dogs) but i'll say no more.
You may not have heard about this film, but it's BRILLIANT! Go and buy it, rent it, or tape it off of the television, I don't care which. This film should not be missed!

4.0 out of 5 stars Not what you expect, 14 Jan 2004
By Lain "Lain" (Manchester, UK) - See all my reviews
It’s true, nobody has seen this film. I used to see it at my local video store all the time but never rented it ‘cos the cover put me off, I thought it was some sort of Basic Instinct type rubbish. Then I saw it on TV and boy was I wrong!
Many twists and turns this is great to watch with your mates, I showed it to mine and they loved it!
Some genuinely humorous moments as well as sad ones, what I enjoyed most about this movie is it starts off with a few unrelated characters who all become connected at the end, similar then to films such as ‘Magnolia’ and ‘Go’. And there’s a great b**ch fight!
If you like this I also recommend the fantastic Red Rock West, another film which not many people have seen!

4.0 out of 5 stars Superb movie, 4 Jul 2000
By A Customer
From the very start as you are introduced to each character... you start to hope that this movie doesn't dissapoint.... and it doesn't. I read another review on this movie... which compared it to a poor mans Pulp Fiction,... two completely different movies. Is Pulp Fiction better? maybe... but is The Dear Hunter better than Pulp Fiction? we could go on forever. Maybe I am a bit biased because I am a great fan of James Spader... but if you want to watch a movie that's different, original... and funny... you gotta watch this one.

2.0 out of 5 stars Over hyped.
This is not a bad film, but it's no classic either. It has some funny moments but overall it's a bit to predictable. Read more

3.0 out of 5 stars This is not Pulp Fictions little brother!
Yes, in some ways this is like Pulp Fiction. It is similar because there are several stories running independently that will meet at some point in the film. Read more

2.0 out of 5 stars A sort of poor man's Pulp Fiction.
Make that, a sort of _very_ poor man's Pulp Fiction in fact. A film about gangsters and other shady characters in a multiple/ intersecting plot with disjoint time lines. Read more
