These episodes deal with Women POWs captured and imprisoned by the Japenese in 1941. After they are inturned the characters have to learn to live with the realities of life not only with the brutalities of their gaolers but also how to live with eachother. Friendships are forged between women that before WWII would not have been possible. The working class and upper class women really would not have mixed before their imprisonment and you do feel the tension between them as the barriers come tumbling down. This is classic T.V.
