The performances in these three episodes of Hancock's half-hour, Hancock's in particular, are funny and witty and are classic examples of why he is still considered today to be a master of comedy even after all these years. All three were written and filmed over 44 years ago and of course are a bit dated in their way, but they retain a sense of humour that is still evident and fresh when watched today. Of the three The Cruise is probably the best, an episode packed with great one liners and hilarious set pieces. The Tycoon and The Baby Sitters are both really great examples of Galton and Simpson's writing and Hancock and James' performance are both spot on. (Check out the 'Chinaman's Whist scene in The Tycoon as Sid keeps changing the rules.) For me The Cruise is one number, you could imagine it performed today because in way it is more timeless than its two counterparts. This video would make a good starting point for anyone wishing to see examples of Hancock at work if they are unfamiliar with him and is a must for anyone who hasn't got it.
