5.0 out of 5 stars Nice alternative to "jumping around the room" videos, 24 Dec 2000
By A Customer
This is a great one to integrate into your exercise routine. A really good toning workout which also makes you work up a sweat, great for when you really can't face jumping around the room like a lunatic but still need a work-out fix. The leg and bottom exercises are particularly good, nice surprise to see muscles developing (sveltly) on the back of the thighs! The abdominal routine is excellent as well, not much emphasis on the upper body though (that's covered more in the Low Impact Aerobic video with all those big arm movements). Reminds you it's not just about burning fat, you want to make an investment into the shape, firmness and strength of your body, too.

4.0 out of 5 stars Helped me to start enjoying excercise again, 6 Feb 2004
By Elizabeth Taylor (France) - See all my reviews
(TOP 1000 REVIEWER)
The basis of this video are a number of excercises based around a chair, moving around the chair, swinging your arms and legs as well as some stretching and abdos. Its not really aerobic unless you take it to the extreme but does help one build up a minimal level of stretching and movement and the instructor is not in the least bit threatening or some fantastic model type. I purchased the video because I was very overweight and have since lost 25kgs. If you are very overweight you are normally too embarrassed to go to the gym or find it difficult to do basic excercise due to the additional stresses of all those pounds. At the time I decided to loose weight I used this video reguarily and although as I said its not very strenuous it made me start moving and using my body, stretching and starting to enjoy excercise again, as such it was a real motivator in building up the confidence to start dieting properly and moreover get that gym subscription as the body needs more and more excercise once you give it a chance. So I give it 4*'s simply because it helped me to start thinking of taking care of my body, its very easy but still uses a lot of muscles in the body and its quite good fun kicking your legs around the room.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good 'off day' workout, 11 Mar 2004
This is the shortest and easiest of the Weight Watchers video series, but it will still work your leg muscles and abs enough for you to feel that you've done something for your fitness even if you're having one of those 'off' days when you can't really face exercise at all. I find it very relaxing because this workout warms the whole body up nicely and the good ab section at the end leaves one feeling satisfyingly 'worked' without having made that headache worse. (It's actually helped me to get rid of a tension headache on more than one occasion). I would recommend investing in all these videos, you then have a good choice of workouts that really do change the way you lookl.

I was hoping for more from Weight Watchers but, daft routines all staged around a chair...not good at all.

I have the Step n' Sculpt of the WW videos which is energising and you feel as if you've had a reasonable workout. Read more
