The greatest oasis gigs... ever, 6 Sep 2002
In terms of the band's energy and 'mad-4-it' levels, none of the gigs they have done could ever match the truly magnificent performances at Maine road and Earls court. The conglomeration of Liam's harsh, rusty vocals and Noel's over-reverbed, painfully catchy electric guitar solo's provides the stuff that only legends are capable of producing. Maine road encapsulated the feeling of brit-pop euphoria that ran rife through the 40,000 strong crowd. Earls Court, one of the largest indoor gigs in Europe, in which seats had to be removed to cater for the 20,000 mad-4-it punters, could not have been a more appropriate expression of just how big the band were at the time. This DVD intertwines songs from both gigs and also includes brief interviews with the members. Noel's acoustic performance of Morning Glory at Earls court is simply not to be missed. Any devout oasis fan will add this to their oasis paraphernalia. A truly amazing DVD.

The Boys Are Back In Town, 25 Sep 2000
This DVD is the reason you love Oasis, the noise, the attitude, the sheer magnatism of the front man and lead guitarist. Liam Gallagher shines in this DVD concert that was recorded at Maine Road (Manchester City's football ground, and the one true love of the Gallagher bro's after their mam!) and Earls Court in London in 1996. This was probably the height of Oasis-Mania in the UK and it truly shows in this amazing DVD.The picture quality is fantastic and the sound, as long as you have a stereo system to run it through, is spectacular. Anyone who has been to an Oasis concert can testify to the truly ear-shattering sound of the Gallagher bro's live show. So run it through your stereo and crank up that volume until the neighbours complain, it's the closest you'll ever get to knowing what Oasis are like live without seeing it in person. The presentation "Oasis-There and Then" consists of tracks taken from both the Maine Road gig and he Earls court gig. The vast majority are from Maine road however, and rightly so in my opinion. The songs are intercut with snippets of interviews with the entire band taken in turn, the major interviewee is Noel Gallagher and as always he's very amusing, remembering tales of their first London gigs and getting hit in the face with beer glasses! Liam also gets interviewed and comes across every inch of the rock star he is: Moody, awkward, quiet... and probably drunk... The only reason this DVD didn't get 5 Stars is simply due to the lack of extras, the only thing you get on here is a song index which is useful of course but where are the behind the scenes features? Where are the information gallery's? Not so much as a discography is on offer on this DVD, but dont let that put you off, the majority of features on DVD's are window dressing anyway, watch them once or twice and never watch them again. So what more can I say, buy this DVD today, you wont regret it...

AN AMZING GIG! BEST LIVE ACT OF THE 90's!, 5 Mar 2004
This is an amzing dvd. The performance is amazing, it was recorded at Maine Road, Manchester and Earls Court London each in 1996. Their performance level is so high and it is no suprise that they are titled by some as the greatest live band ever. All the songs on this DVD are great including a wonderful accoustic performance of 'Morning Glory' by Noel gallagher. Other classics include 'Live Forever' as they play this they have photos of all legendary musicians up on the back of the stage, as the mighty John lennon appears the whole crowd applaud and Liam bows down to one of the best musician of the 20th century, But never mind the beatles, that was then, this is now, Oasis, amazing live performance. Only drawbacks are a lack of special features and it can get annoying when switching between venues, but there are some cool interviews in between so it dosen't really matter. Some masterpieces such as 'wonderwall' and chart topping 'some might say' and 'dont look back in anger' are played superbly! BUY IT!
