3.0 out of 5 stars Good basic techniques but not enough self defence stuff, 3 Dec 2000
By A Customer
I thought the video was O.K., but the stuff on Pinan Kata is a waste of time and there isn't enough emphasis on self defence techniques or combinations. Having studied karate some years ago, I have to say that the self defence moves fall into the standard trap of defending against an opponent who is performing karate moves. This is not realistic- What about bottles, verbals, rabbit punches and other real-life situations down the pub? The video was too short for the £13.99 I paid. Nice try but only a three star for me.

5.0 out of 5 stars the best and easiest learning vid., 21 Oct 2000
By stemeister@yahoo.com (Tamworth,England) - See all my reviews
this video makes martial arts alot easier.the demonstrations on punching, kicking, and blocking are all top quality and the stretching, even though it can become a bit tedious at times, is yet another great asset to the video. a must have for both begining and qualified martial artists.
