4.0 out of 5 stars A little gem!, 12 Jun 2004
By A Customer
This review is from: Cold Fever [DVD] [1995] (DVD)
Cold fever is now one of my favorite films. A simple story well told with quite beautiful cinematography. It is a revelation how wonderful Iceland looks, and the film captures it quiet magic. Its a strange road movie ? well maybe. I loved it

5.0 out of 5 stars Good....but not the best version, 9 April 2006
This review is from: Cold Fever [DVD] [1995] (DVD)
A great film...but the DVD differs from the version previously available on VHS, which IMHO was better. The opening scenes in Japan had previously been presented in a cropped box on screen, which then opened out to full widescreen when the plane arrives at Iceland. Subtitles have also been changed in various places too...the DVD is still worth owning, but too bad it wasn't the same as the earlier release.

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice.......... and quirky, 31 Mar 2002
By A Customer
A quirky film a lot like Mystery Train (with the same Japanese actor). A road movie with a difference. If you like Mystery Train or Straight Story then this will appeal.

This Japanese Icelandic film is a kind of spiritual road trip. It is an odd ball film which has many weird characters in it. Read more
