5.0 out of 5 stars A must for any aviation enthusiast, 18 Oct 2000
By A Customer
It is not very often you witness thousands of grown men and women with tears in their eyes in unison. This was the one occasion, when the last airworthy Vulcan Bomber (XH558) made it's final display at the Cranfield airshow on the 20th September 1992 This video fully captures the emotions of this classic British designed and built aircraft bidding it's final farewell. In addition there is comprehensive detail into the life of this 1950's classic from it's conception including footage of the prototype flying at Farnborough, through to it's role played in the Falklands war. There are some wonderful examples of air to air photography including the Red Arrows escorting her in to Cranfield for that final display. The final scenes of the video leave you with a sense of sadness, as this once proud flagship of British aviation technology returns home for the last time. Even my non-aviation fanatic wife enjoyed this one.
