Synopsis
This is the highly colourful film on the lives of Queen Elizabeth I and Sir Walter Raleigh. It includes the famous laying down of Sir Walter's cloak in a puddle to allow the Queen to step on it. Joan Collins plays the royal Lady-in-waiting who incurs the Queen's wrath by marrying Sir Walter.

The great Bette Davis as The Virgin Queen, 10 Nov 2003

This film is really a must for all, I watched it on my own at first and couldn't even move to make a cup of tea then 2 weeks later watched it with my 12 year old son and 5 year old daughter who to were glued to the telly. Bette Davis is chilling and fasinating to watch her expressions keep you on the end of your seat and for my two children to remain seated for that long can confirm what a truely classic film this really is.
