5.0 out of 5 stars A 'Must' Film, 17 May 2003
'The Plank' is an absolute classic, funny, hilarious. I have watched it umpteen times and I still find myself lying on the floor, laughing my butts off when I watch it again. I like to show it to my students in English lesson to demonstrate 'British humour', and then I sit in my corner finding it ravingly funny. My (German) students are mostly mildly interested. 'The Plank' obviously is British humour that does not offer its virtues to German teenagers at once. At least I had an enjoyable lesson, ain't that important ? I am now ordering a new copy since my old one is wearing out.

5.0 out of 5 stars THE PLANK, 16 May 2003
By A Customer
The Plank, by Eric Sykes with Tommy Cooper
The best version of the 3 is the one with Tommy Cooper.
In Colour, Its great, although I own the version with Arthur Lowe
I love this one.
Its british comedy at its best, Roy Castle does a great bit as a smelly man....how he gets like that..you have to see.
If you love comedy go for this one, if you love tommy go for the double bill of the plank and its your move.
Do not pass this ...buy....it....now

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant!, 8 Jun 2000
This is quite simply the funniest film I have ever seen. The scene when the woman cries, "It's paint!" and the cigarette and the tea are taken away, is a classic of the cinema, to be compared with Gone With the Wind, Alexander Nevsky and the other one my mate Brian is always on about. Watch this film and you will never need to go and see another one.

5.0 out of 5 stars Comedy film "The Plank"
A short film, but very entertaining and worth the price. I think this film would be more appreciable to the older generation who know the actors who are well known to them, plus... Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars Classic (for real) British comedy - funny and inoffencive.
Great British comedy with nothing to offend and much to amuse. However, Mr. Tommy Cooper does not appear, Mr. Henry Cooper does - as does Mr. James Hunt for some unknown reason.
