5.0 out of 5 stars Search For a Psychiatrist, 24 Nov 2002
Basil needed a psychiatrist for a long time. Perhaps this episode contains a subliminal message. When one finally turns up, he ignores him. When he learns he's a doctor, he loves him. When he learns he's a psychiatrist, he hates him. This episode features the priceless moment of Basil reching for a light switch and coming upon a girl's chest.
This tape also contains the legend Mr O'Rielly in 'The Builders'.
BASIL : You weren't going to take her seriosly, were you?
O'RIELLY : Well, I thought I might.
'The Wedding Party' is another gem. It features Basil found many times on thr floor, looking like he's 'having a moment' with Manuel.

Priceless.

5.0 out of 5 stars More And More Laughs..., 27 Aug 2000
By A Customer
The first episode on this tape is »The Builders« which provides the average level of »Fawlty Towers« craziness & chaos climax. As usual, it is Basil Fawlty's lies who mainly cause all the trouble. Where would we be without him...

»The Wedding Party« as a story is maybe the funniest episode of »Fawlty Towers«. Just think of what situations Basil's 1920s view on sexuality, combined with his snobbish paranoia, can produce...

And »The Psychiatrist« is the episode of all »Fawlty Towers« episodes that produces the best laughs! In the beginning, it's a bit light - but the more Basil's hormones and personality in general burst out on the screen, beware! You might get a laughter stroke!

5.0 out of 5 stars From the back cover..., 11 Feb 2007
The immortal Basil Fawlty, based on a genuine West-Country hotelier. That real proprietor deserves warm thanks from millions, for he inspired the most unremittingly funny TV comedy series ever shown. Here is Basil at his maniacal best in three cripplingly comical shows. And with him, as ever, is the lovably dense Manuel, the unflappable Folly and Basil's `little nest of vipers' -- his wife Sybil.

1.THE BUILDERS
Not for the first time, Basil's tight-fistedness finds him out. There is building work required in the hotel lobby and, when Sybil's back is turned, Basil immediately goes for the lowest quote for the job. But soon discovers why O'Reilly and his men come so cheap...

2. THE WEDDING PARTY
Basil's prudish nature is outraged by what he perceives to be an outbreak of promiscuity at Fawlty Towers. As ever, he first grabs the wrong end of the stick and then proceeds to beat himself with it. Yet another terrible day for Basil ends with his apparent discovery by the guests in a compromising position with Manuel.

3. THE PSYCHIATRIST
A young "yobbo" has booked in and (to Basil's intense fury) Sybil obviously fancies him and he may have smuggled a girl into his room. A psychiatrist arrives to add to his discomfort and the voluptuous Australian girl stands just a bit too close to the lightswitch. "There's enough material here for an entire conference," muses the psychiatrist as he observes the baffling phenomenon known as Basil Fawlty.
