This film was one of Bardot's last on the silver screen. Teaming up with former hubby Vadim, Bardot who was then in her late 30's played a man-eating female Don Juan as both she and Vadim attempted to recapture their previous successes together. The movie itself was a flop though I felt that the plot and the acting were well delivered. Needless to say Bardot was in her element as the seductress devouring men after men and then spitting them out like "BUBBLE GUM"( which interestingly was the name of one of the songs she released in the 60's!). At times one gets the impression the plot was going in circles as much of it revolved around Bardot recounting her lascivious affairs to her cousin(a priest!), in the process she ended up in bed with him too! Despite all this I thoroughly enjoyed this film....and thought it was well put together. However, the ending was really senseless....to me it was merely an easy way to end what would have otherwise been a great film.
