Though it seems dated now, Bus Stop was considered pretty hot stuff in 1956. Directed by Joshua Logan from George Axelrod's script of William Inge's comic-romantic Broadway hit, the film stars Marilyn Monroe as the kind of woman who can't understand why she always brings out the worst in men. She attracts the attention of a young rodeo rider (Don Murray) while on a bus, and finds herself trapped at a bus stop in the middle of nowhere during a blizzard. The young cowboy, whose intentions are honourable, can't control his temper and can't understand why this experienced woman won't take him seriously--and why she rejects him when he begins acting jealous and possessive. A nice movie. A cow boy finds his "angel" on his way to a rodeo and, as she will not have him, kidnaps her until she knows better and follows him voluntarily to be his wife. Marilyn Monroe combines coquettery and innocence. The movie would be perfect but for the male protagonist who keeps on shouting from beginning to end and makes you want to shoot him on the spot.

Boy, is this an Oscar-worthy performance! What I want to say is that the VHS I bought in 1994 was in actual HiFi Stereo! unbelievable!
