Amazon.co.uk Review

Philo Beddoe (Clint Eastwood) is back in this sequel to Every Which Way but Loose, once again brawling to make ends meet and just trying to manage his life with a crazy mother (Ruth Gordon), a dim-witted best friend (Geoffrey Lewis) and, of course, Clyde the Orangutan. He's had enough of this life but when a mobster (Harry Guardino) comes along to make him an offer he can't refuse, Philo must use his wits as well as his fists to get himself out of yet another jam. The humour is thin and sporadic (though Gordon is on fine form), and Eastwood has since gone on to better things; but a film that features a brawl with a monkey and a motorcycle gang can't be all bad. --Robert Lane

Synopsis

A good-natured knock-about follow-up to 'Every Which Way But Loose', including the orang-utan!

4.0 out of 5 stars A Fantastic sequel - how did they follow the first one ?, 15 April 2001
By A Customer
Clint and Clyde have done it again, with this suburb second outing of the dynamic duo. The first movie was funny enough, but the wise cracks in this second instalment of the orang-utan mayhem will have you falling out of your seat, definitely worth a watch.

5.0 out of 5 stars fighting to the top of my list, 5 Dec 2004
this is one of clints finest movies he's ever made

from the movie EVERY WHICH WAY BUT LOOSE (which is one of my personal favourites)comes the most action packed sequel which i could see over and over again

the movie centres around a retired bare-knuckled fighter who is blackmailed (by having his girlfriend kidnapped) into one last fight against a well known fighter.
along with his companions orville and his orangatang clyde
not only does he set out to get his girlfiend back and defeat this fighter in one of the most exciting fight scenes ever made
he also has to take on the "deadly but laughable" black widow biker gang once again..who he humilliated in the first movie (they are so funny in these movies)
this movie will not just make you laugh your head off..but i guarantee you will not be disappointed

if only there was more sequels to this movie... :(

5.0 out of 5 stars orang u can!!, 12 Jul 2003
SO, I LIKE CLINT!!! THE GUY IS A LIVING LEGEND. AND, TO SWITCH FROM "EIGER SANCTION" TO "DIRTY HARRY "TO WORKING, AFFECTIONATELY, WITH "CLYDE" ( THE ORANGUTANG ), ONLY ADDS TO THE MAN'S GENIUS . THE STORYLINE IS IRRELEVANT. THE FILM IS A FINE COMEDY. BUY IT, AND "PASS IT ON." IT'S TIMELESS!!!
