I purchased this item primarily to gain skills in Oracle 8i, but I discovered later that Macmillan view it as a reference book with some bonus software tacked on. This means that when the sofware failed to install I could not get any useful support from Macmillan / Pearson. The failure is one which is likely to occur in many, most or all installations. The reference book may be good, but I haven't the tools to find out.
