Moving On is the debut album of a young singer-songwriter with impeccable credentials. It contains eleven self-written songs, performed both solo and with her band. The style is contemporary but underpinned by a folk roots sensibility inherited from her grandfather, legendary Irish piccolo player John Doonan, and father Mick Doonan, member of Hedgehog Pie and The Doonan Family Band and folk scene stalwart since the 1970s. Moving On shows her moving into her own territory with a collection of songs revealing versatility as a songwriter, arranger and instrumentalist, and also her true, clear voice installing her alongside contemporaries such as Nerina Pallot, Kate Walsh and KT Tunstall.
