In Britain there are a number of great compilation albums which allow the listener to get an album full of hits by all their favourite artists, however the Americans do not really produce compilation albums to the same extent as the British do and they use soundtracks to achieve similar objectives and generally record companies in America chose high profile movies to showcase some of the biggest stars on their label and the "Big Daddy" soundtrack is no exception. Generally the album has a very rock oriented feel to it. With contributions by Limp Bizkit, Garbage and Sheryl Crowe's cover of the G N R classic "Sweet Child O Mine". The album also has a couple of great rap songs from Everlast and Pharcyde as well as some classic rock from the likes of Styx and Big Audio Dynamite, all of this on top of clips from the movie which are thrown in. Overall it's a very American sounding album with the rap and rock but it's a great album and I would recommend it to anybody.
