Product Description

Amazon.co.uk Review

This souvenir from the popular teen television drama contains several high-profile pop smashes tied to the show (Sixpence None the Richer's "Kiss Me", Paula Cole's "I Don't Want to Wait", and Shawn Mullins's "Shimmer"), along with a number of other tracks similar in tone and style. That is to say, if those songs' (or the show's) slightly wounded romanticism appeals to you, you're likely to find something else here you'll dig. --Rickey Wright

5.0 out of 5 stars AMAZING!, 15 Oct 2000
By A Customer
If you like Dawson's Creek you'll LOVE this album. The first time I listened to it I only liked Paula Cole's "I don't Wanna Wait" the theme tune, but each time I liked another song and now I love them all! I can't really say much more to convince you....it's AMAZING! If you haven't got a copy run and get one now....and then the sequel.

5.0 out of 5 stars An anthem for university days..., 8 May 2003
I absolutely adore this album. The songs perfectly reflect the emotional angst and deep yearning love which are the central themes to Dawson's Creek. When you listen to the songs you can just imagine scenes from the show playing in your head, or imagine the songs as the soundtrack to your own love scene. If only someone would write a song like "Stay you" for me.

When I bought this it eventually did the rounds at university and I would pass everyone's window with the familar sounds blaring out. I eventually got the CD back, it was so scratched and well used I had to go and buy another one! But it was well worth it and now when I lisetn to it it reminds me of lazy lustful days at university...

5.0 out of 5 stars Emotionally wrought, capturing the essence of todays youth., 12 Dec 1999
By A Customer
This CD begins with the commercially successful "Kiss Me" by Sixpence Non The Richer, which perhaps is weakest record on the album such is its quality.Despite the lack of big names, especially to the British listeners these american artists provide a variety of song-writing which is both emotionally touching while easy on the ear. Shawn Mullins, Heather Nova and Wood all provide solid songs which compliment the atmosphere of the album, the best of these unknown artists however has to be Chantal Kreviazuk which steals the show with the brilliant "Feels Like Home" and despite the hiccup that is B*Witcheds "Blame It On The Weatherman" the album is finished to perfection with the Dawsons Creek soundtrack of Paula Cole-"I Don't Want To Wait" In summary the title of the Album does it no favours appealing to the teenage age group when in fact many older people would apprieciate alot out of this well crafted album.Without doubt this album breaks the mould of pathetic TV and Movie soundtracks.
