The music is purely vocal and has an especially strong sweet chordal quality. Apart from a single song in English, everything is sung in an African tongue (Zulu I believe) and makes great background music.

I would recommend this CD.

This album features the best of Ladysmith Black Mambazo's songs, all Gospel tracks. Mainly on CD1 the tracks revolve around the group's early songs from the 1970's or 80's, as you can tell by the sharp voice. CD2 is especially wonderful, you can tell the last five tracks are gospel indeed. Would recommend this to any longterm fan of the pioneers of Isicathamiya music.
