4.0 out of 5 stars Trust me, I'm a pervert, 25 Oct 2000
By A Customer
This is where momus started for me; one listen to this collection of perverse, affectionate pet sho boys-alike tunes was enough. Now some 14 albums later momus is still the man or woman or androgyne. Simply, you will find no better album that covers medical malpractice, andragogic seduction, sister-pimping, lesbian onanism and cardiac peculiarity. Momus has done better (my personal 5* faves are philosophy of momus, poison boyfriend, and even the NME zilch *'d hippopotamomus.) but for sheer casiotonic, poptastic, stylophonic scotch sass enter here.

5.0 out of 5 stars 80sEncapsulated, 18 Oct 2008

Forget Martin Amis, this album sums up the technology & the greed & the lovelessness of the 80s better than any work of Art: it's also supremely brilliant from start to finish, clever, funny, original, sad, weird and listenable
