I originally bought the album for just the 'Where Eagles Dare' piece but after listening to the rest, I went out and bought all the films for the rest of the tunes. :)

There are many good tracks on this album, a suitable peppering of aviation ones too. Some seem a bit fast paced on occasions (don't know the proper musical term, but it would be a "quick" march certainly for 633 Sqdn), but on the whole very good. For this price or so you can't complain really. I ordered my copy Monday morning and the cd arrived tuesday, marvellous!

If you look at the track-listing you will agree that this compilation is marvellous, with a good selection of what is likely to be the favourite music for people who like these kind of films.

Whilst none actually are, each track really could be the original music from the related film as they are reproduced so well; the only discernible difference being that these versions are not mono, muffled or 'crackly' as they are modern recordings.

The sound quality of the CD really is excellent and the musicians (from the Royal Military School of Music) are clearly talented and play with 'gusto' to produce a fantastic series of rousing tunes which will both stir the emotions and provoke some nostalgia.
