I can't believe no-ones reviewed this little classic yet. I picked this up on vinyl in Camden a while ago and on the whole I'm glad I did. This album only has four tracks but the price is right the tracks weigh in at around nine minutes each so this is a proper album. the tracks are as follows(in no particular order): Jingo - Most people will know Candido's popular bongo led version of this. It's a bit of a latin disco/funk stomper by all accounts. Thousand Finger Man - This track has enjoyed a bit of a revival of late being featured on some of the cooler compilations by the likes of Kenny "Dope" Gonzalez. It's a subtle proto-trance disco number which has stood the test of time well and still sounds great today, especially in a club. Dancin' and Prancin - this is a little cheesier than the previous two tracks but is a well respected classic nonetheless. A bit more 'disco' but worth checking out as an early garage blueprint (I don't mean UK garage!). Rock And Shuffle - the less said about this the better! In conclusion this album is good insight into the influences of current dance producers like MAW and is still highly listenable after all these years. It's also a great introduction into the fantastic world of Salsoul records.
