LoDuca's second collection of music from X:WP offers a much more rounded and substantial experience from the last. The orchestral textures are more colourful and easier to get absorbed in, making it a joy to listen to.

The album covers a huge category of emotional moments. Starting with the truly beautiful At Mothers Tomb, which is a simple slow string piece complimented by the shows characteristic female Bulgarian vocals. The next track kicks things in to action with a maelstrom of choral chanting with full orchestral backing. The album varies in mood from the gentle catchy melody of Homeland through the whimsical Hardcore Fishing to the violent bursts of Swordplay. Which always leaves me amazed at LoDuca's skill with harmonies and his ability to bounce melodies around the orchestra.

Notably tracks 10 - 15 (from the episode Destiny) were rightfully nominated for an Emmy.
