Old Feeder album still the best, 24 Feb 2003
This is a true masterpiece, a work of musical genius. Its albums like this that make you proud to be British. Basically this album is split into two halves, one half is all the fast pacey poprock songs not so far from the likes of Buck Rogers (you know they guy with the new car, heard it looks like a jag too) these are tracks 2, 5, 9,and 11, Insomnia which in my opinion is even better than Buck Rogers, Waiting For Changes which i saw Feeder play live and it really got the party started-a fast paced song, You're My Evergreen which is fast and is riffantastic with amazing guitars, and Hole In My Head which is a feel good song that is always over the speed limit, dnt try nodding your head to it because it is just too fast. Then there are the slow emotion-fuelled classics. Track 6 Radioman is a nice slow accoustic track, worth a listen but nothing outstanding, Track 4 Yesterday Went Too Soon is impressive and very soon your only existance is to listen to this song, it is heartfelt and so pure, you can just imagine Grant pleeding to you "wish you could see through my eyes" and can only be explained by listening to it yourself, it is slow but fantastic and brings a tear to your eye, it really is that good and i wish i could explain it to you! Dry is another pleasent accoustic track and is better than Radioman and is always nice to listen to. SO Well is a gentle song, without the emotions of the other slow tracks, but is still pretty good, Paperfaces is a different version to the single, but is slower and more pure without aas much producing done to it, this is the bare bones of Paperfaces. The secret track Bubblehead its been nicknamed, is quirky and heavy compared to the rest of the album, presonally i think it is good and adds a different mood to the album. The other songs, Day in Day out, Aneathetic, Pictures of Perfect Youth are general songs, and somewhere in the middle of the slow ones and fast ones, Pictures of Perfect Youth is a grower and once you listen to it a few times you realise how good it is as it keeps getting better! A rock album like this suits all moods because all the songs are different and yet still appeal to a lot of the same people, I for one like all the songs on this album. This album should be bought by anyone who is into brit rock, and if you are a Feeder fan than why do you not have this album? it is their best! The fast songs of Insomnia and Waiting For Changes hook you on this album as soon as you listen to it whilst Pictuers of perfect youth and Yesterday Went Too Soon grow under your skin. You know that this is a great rock album and that you should get it, it deserves to be in every house. Feeder have done us proud
