I wasn't familiar with Altan before I bought this CD but was following a recommendation about the band in general. Having bought this and another CD ('Once Again', another compilation) I was slightly disappointed by this one. Not that it's bad, it's just not as good as the other (and has fewer tracks).

I now have five Altan CDs(I'm definitely a fan). Nevertheless I have none of the tracks on this 'best of' --- obviously a long way to go yet! If this is your first and it doesn't get you to buy more, sure I don't know what will. Great instrumentals and herself in fine voice. Recommended.
