I wanted to record an album, not just a CD. I wanted to make sure that each of the songs would sit together as if they all belong there. I had some definite ideas that I wanted this album to have an acoustic feel and to be kind of laid-back in style and I wanted to include things like the barely audible but warm ambience of musicians' fingers on keys or strings and the sound of my breathing between phrases in the songs. In short, I wanted this album to sound human and not to sound over-produced and I hope you can hear the benefit of such unorthodox and maverick views!!! I think the songs capture a moment in time. Like all artists I'm constantly moving on with my musical style, but this album expresses well where I was when I recorded it and I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed recording it for you.
