It's late at night and you want something soothing that doesn't go "bleep". Don't get me wrong, I like a lot of modern electronica but this is even more chilled. One man, a guitar and some percussion.
According to something I read, Boubacar Traore sits outside his house in the hills of Mali and sings about his country. This album is very evocative of that idea. You can imagine him sitting outside at dusk strumming a bluesy rhythm.
If you like Ali Farka Toure, you will like this too. They are in a very similar vein of West African guitar bluesmen. Buy this album now.
