3.0 out of 5 stars Morrissey Sings his Life......, 27 Aug 2005
By A Customer
Definitely not Morrissey's strongest album, but far from the disaster it was made out to be. Whilst some of the tracks are fairly low key - King Lear, There is a Place in Hell.. - most still stand the test of time. Mute Witness, Sing Your Life and Found Found Found (rumoured to be about Michael Stipe) are standouts. For me, though, End of the Family Line is the best track on the album.

If you already have some Morrissey albums but have been put off by reviews of this one, dont be. You will be pleasantly surprised. If you dont own any Morrissey yet, probably best to start with one of the later solo albums (Vauxhall, Your Arsenal, You Are The Quarry) or the earlier Viva Hate or Bona Drag.

3.0 out of 5 stars Some goods tracks but a bit lightweight, 30 Nov 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Kill Uncle (Audio CD)
Not his finest works but there are some good pop songs, notably "sing your life" and "Mute Witness". A hint of what went before and what was to come next with the poignant finale "There is a Place in Hell for Me & My Friends"

5.0 out of 5 stars The best tales from despair, loneliness and sadness :), 4 Dec 2004
By P. Gaspar "JM" (Vila Nova de Gaia Portugal) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
This review is from: Kill Uncle (Audio CD)
This is a great album.Of course not Morrissey's best album, but in fact there are good songs inside.
Songs such as SING YOUR LIFE (one of Morrissey's best songs ever written),while others like DRIVING YOUR GIRLFRIEND HOME, FOUND FOUND FOUND and I'M THE END OF THE FAMILY LINE represent all the despair, sadness, and above all, the loneliness that we all bring inside of us. This is not a list of happy songs for happy people. This album is recommended for people with personal problems, with a sad personal life. But it's a marvellous good album. One of Morrissey's most depressive cd's.

3.0 out of 5 stars Let down once more
Kill Uncle is not Morrissey's finest album. The musical settings lack the punch and textures of his finest work and, short though the album is, it sounds padded. Read more

1.0 out of 5 stars Poor oh Poor!
This was the first Morrissey album I bought and really it is very poor.

The songs are drones.

Buy "Vauxhall and I".
