This is an excellent performance by Stephen Kovacevich, who plays from somewhere inside the music rather than simply reproducing the notes and harmonies. The whole experience of this recording is mind-blowing - performed with passion by the soloist, BBC Symphony Orchestra, and conductor Sir Colin Davis. I deliberated on the subject of which recording to buy for my daughter, but am delighted I decided on this one. I am so impressed that I'm now going to buy one for myself as well!

The Schumann concerto is just as brilliantly performed, as is the Grieg Sonata which is beautifully played by Zoltan Kocsis.

This new CD was supplied to me by Amazon without external/manufacturers packaging and with a cracked casing. My star rating is for Amazon - I could not see any other feedback mechanism. Previous experience with Amazon had been good.
The music album is very good and I would recommend it.
