Solid musicianship and well crated lyrics have always been a staple of Joe Jackson. Quite a 'dark' album tackling subjects from relationships to racism. Check out 'Battle Ground' just bass and drums and vocals with attitude. Or 'One To One' Whistful and melancholy with just a piano and rimshot for backing, while Joes sings about a relationship doomed to fail. 'Pretty Boys' ante dates the rise of boy bands and manufactured pop. 'Biology' is a down to earth look the reasons behind infidelity.

It's not often that I can say tat I love every track, but it's true. If you are lucky enough to own a copy, or if you can grab hold of a copy, treasure it, and maybe wonder why it hasn't yet appered on CD. We may not see its kind again.

I am pleased to see this reissued and must agree with the previous reviewer. My only regret is my own impatience as I paid $50 for it, prior to reissue, a year ago. Jackson is going on all cylinders here, hits a wide range of issues and emotions, and the band is tight. Get this now!

A great album that is often overlooked. I have no idea why, since it's Joe Jackson's best.
