This is one of the worst "Greatest Hits" albums Whitesnake have put out. Why ? It's because so many classic Whitesnake songs are missing on here. Where is the live favourite "Aint No Love In The Heart Of The City" ?. "Dont Break My Heart Again" ? "Ready An Willing" ?. The album does not feature enough of Whitesnakes early work and features too much of latter 80's albums 1987, and Slip Of The Tongue. If you are looking a introduction to Whitesnake buy "The Best of Whitesnake" instead. Dont waste money on this poor effort.

It has to be said that David Coverdale has an excellent voice, and so many good tunes on this cd.
My favorite WS album has to be 1987 and there are some tracks from that album on this greatest hits.
This album is heavy and solid and so many good tracks showing Coverdales vocal ranges.
You will find this a superb addition to your cd collection, so just buy it.....

There can be no doubting that Whitesnake are one of the greatest rock bands of the last twenty years and this is highlighted by their brilliant greatest hits album. The album goes to show just how the face of rock has changed over the last twenty years with their early hits like "Judgement Night" and "Still Of The Night" sounding very much like Led Zeppelin sounded in the late seventies while their later hits such as "Is This Love" and "Deeper Than Love" sound very much like Def Leppard sounded in the late eighties. Overall the album highlights the talents of one of the most enduring rock acts around and although their overall style has really been built up to fit whatever style has been the "in" style at the time, the guitar playing is what makes the band stand out from most others and David Coverdale has to be simply one of the most majestic guitar players of all time and it's really his riffs that turned the band from a mediocre band to a great one and is what really makes this album worth buying. The album features classics by the band such as "Now You're Gone", "Slide In It", "Crying In The Rain" and "The Deeper The Love" as well as some previously unreleased tracks such as "Here I Go Again", "You're Gonna Break My Heart" and "Sweet Lady Luck".
