One Minute Silence - the best British Rap/Metallers around!, 27 Mar 2000
By A Customer
I have seen OMS rise from playing back street pubs, like the Army and Navy, in Chelmsford England, with capacitys of 70, to playing the Brixtin Academy, backing uo the likes of Machine Head, Slipknot etc. OMS are a fine band with track listing credentials to go with it. The own headlining gigs, are a mass of musical madness, and foulishness! (i.e the Garage, or the LA2) They have come up with novel ideas to advertise themselves (for example, prompting fans to wreck venues, having a 10 heavy handed men, jump on you and beat the f**k out of you - namely the Pit Crew at the LA2) all this publicity has meant a massive rise to fame in under a year. Their 1st album runs along the likes of many platinum selling professionals, such as Korn and Limp Bizkit. The twanging bass of glen Diani, helps stir up a frenzied mosh pit, fit for the likes of a Pantera concert or a hardcore gig. South Central, Stuck Between a Rock and a White Face, and Remain Calm are all songs providing a massive power and lift with the yapping rap of Brian 'Yap' Barry over the top, creating the perfect sound. The new song off of 'Buy now Saved Later' Food for the Brain shows that OMS can go all the way and become multi-platinum, due to intensity and maturity in their sound. Wait and see OMS will be the biggest thing to hit this planet, and will most definatly not fade into the back ground!
