5.0 out of 5 stars One Minute Silence - the best British Rap/Metallers around!, 27 Mar 2000
By A Customer
I have seen OMS rise from playing back street pubs, like the Army and Navy, in Chelmsford England, with capacitys of 70, to playing the Brixtin Academy, backing uo the likes of Machine Head, Slipknot etc.

OMS are a fine band with track listing credentials to go with it. The own headlining gigs, are a mass of musical madness, and foulishness! (i.e the Garage, or the LA2) They have come up with novel ideas to advertise themselves (for example, prompting fans to wreck venues, having a 10 heavy handed men, jump on you and beat the f**k out of you - namely the Pit Crew at the LA2) all this publicity has meant a massive rise to fame in under a year.

Their 1st album runs along the likes of many platinum selling professionals, such as Korn and Limp Bizkit. The twanging bass of glen Diani, helps stir up a frenzied mosh pit, fit for the likes of a Pantera concert or a hardcore gig. South Central, Stuck Between a Rock and a White Face, and Remain Calm are all songs providing a massive power and lift with the yapping rap of Brian 'Yap' Barry over the top, creating the perfect sound.

The new song off of 'Buy now Saved Later' Food for the Brain shows that OMS can go all the way and become multi-platinum, due to intensity and maturity in their sound.

Wait and see OMS will be the biggest thing to hit this planet, and will most definatly not fade into the back ground!

4.0 out of 5 stars A club Fav, 3 Nov 1999
By A Customer
A fine First Album . Its one to play loud and sing along to may it be in a club or in your car. The Track's to look out for on this Album are South Central, a song that people always dance to at the clubs i go to. A waste of things to come is a sing along track. And the track the Album take's its name from Available in all Colours. Treat yourself and Buy it.

3.0 out of 5 stars Pretty good but nothing special, 22 Jun 2001
By A Customer
I used to be a huge OMS fan, and always got mad at reviews stating that they were trying to copy RATM with their political messages and hardhitting music (Listen to both bands and you'll see they're totally different) However, upon reflection i realise that the politics that yap is erm.... yapping about are watered-down and seem to be targeting frustrated teens- "consumer friendly" if you will. They're a good band, but they're nothing new or special. This album has some great songs (south central, stuck between a rock and a white face, for want of a better world) and the music is great: fusing metal and hiphop with funky basslines and some seriously angry drumming. However, i would recommend buying their newer album first as, although the lyrics don't seem to have matured much, the music has developed a lot and -although not as hardhitting- isn't as repetitive as that on this album. That said, this is a decent debut and was in my CD player for a long time.

5.0 out of 5 stars An amazing C.D
The U.S version of this album is, indeed, very similar to the U.K version. The most major differenceis the American spelling of Colours. Read more
