This is one of the all time great live CD's with some of the greats of African music coming together to create a memorable musical experience.With Miriam Makeba, Abdullah Ibrahim, Bheki Mseleku among the line up, you can hardly go wrong. The focus is very much on the amazing voice of Sibongile and her equally amazing range. The set takes you on an emotional rollercoaster from driving afro-jazz to sublime tender moments that remind you of a Parisian jazz club. She has the sophistication of Ella with a similar sense of humour in her voice. I cant recommend it highly enough.

I'm a South African & I just love her voice. I have had this CD for a long time now and I keep on visiting it every time. These are classics songs composed a long time ago in the 6o's ofcourse not all of them as some consists of her recent works. The whole cd is a gem but theres one song that stood out for me" mountain shade" wow! what a voice! U listen to Themba Mkhize who plays the piano and towards the end the vocals & piano go one on one in a smooth infectious rhythim. The audience is wowed with incredible talent. Another instrument that really did for me is the saxophone infact the whole band is tight."Life is going on" was dedicated to the late Brenda Fassie who passed away last year and Ms Khumalo does justice to her song." Yakhala Inkome"is an old song composed by Mankunku Ngozi & Khumalo just put a new meaning to it. The trade is her infectious beautiful jazzy voice. She reminds me of Al Jarreau,Dianne Reeves,& others all mixed in one. She looks like the Spanish Diva, Montserrat Caballe as she is huge with all that voice coming from deep down.This is a live album done a the Market Theatre in Johannesburg, South Africa. The sound is excellent crystal clear. It will appeal to R& B, fussion jazz fans. Just own one u wont regret.
