5.0 out of 5 stars What a fun romp through the nuclear fifties!, 7 Mar 2001
By A Customer
Zombie Prom has to be the most fun, and catchy musical to hit the stage in a while. After listening the the CD, you know half the songs, and are humming them. And the songs are not even annoying, it's not like humming "it's a small world." The music is mostly spoofs of fifties rock music, but the composers also added in some of their own musicality to make it seem fresh and new, yet comfortable and familar. The Zombie Prom Soundtrack is a must buy for any theatre goer, collector, or newcomer.

By Bryan Williams (San Jose, California) - See all my reviews
my school just did this play and i must say it is wonderful. i was cast as jonny and my friend was eddie.we only had six weeks to pull it together but we did it. it was a great experiance and i cant get the songs out of my head. if anyone has not heard of this, they will soon. this play in my opinion must go to broadway so everyone can experiance this terrific show!

5.0 out of 5 stars what a fun expirience just with one cd!, 2 Mar 2004
By Nicole (New York) - See all my reviews
i must say, my high school chose this show and i was completely against it. Zombie prom? who would ever want to see dancing zombies on stage?
but i gave it a chance and was cast as Candy, What an amazing show! The music is a 50's spoof sounding like grease and little shop with a bit of rocky horror picture show throw in there.
the upbeat songs will have your feet tapping immediately such as

aint no goin back
jonny dont go
the c word
blast from the past

just to name a few.
the ballads like

voice from the ocean
forbidden love

will be stuck in your head for ages.
then the music that sounds like nothing else that just throws in some fun like

expose
isnt it
where do we go from here
and trio.

this show will keep you laughing from the moment you turn on the cd. and if you are a true classic lover like me you may be hesitant but come on! try something new! its phenomenal and once you try, there aint no goin back.
