The first three tracks give the impression of a softer sound as a progression from the earlier self-titled album; but a sharpness familiar to elastica is gradually introduced climaxing in 'generator'. The CD fills a gap between the debut album and the second album, 'the menace', and is well worth listening to as, in theory, three years' worth of effort has gone into six tracks. 'Nothing stays the same _ Donna's home demo' is arguably the nicest track on the EP, and KB the hardest. For anyone who liked 'Elastica', this CD is reccommendable.
