As with the other "Double Decca" set, the amazon description is a bit misleading. The set contains Symphonies 4, 5, and 6, plus the "Little Suite" and "Hymnus Amoris" all brilliantly performed by Herbert Blomstedt and the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra between 1988 and 1996. Providing consistently good sound quality, I'd say that this CD set is the best for Nielsen novices, along with the other set containing the earlier symphonies.

Although there are quite a few alternatives to this particular CD set available nowadays, Nielsen is still under-recorded and performed. With zillions of Mahler symphonies and Sibelius sets on the market, looking to Denmark rather than Austria and Finland, should please fans of those two great conductors. Bearing in mind the value-for-money offered by this set and it's companion, I recommend Nielsen to those interested in early twentieth-century notated music, contemporary with Mahler and Sibelius, etc.
