Yellow fever is Felas characteristic satire of the skin bleaching culture that has continued to ravage AFRICA. The track captures the mentality of the black woman trying to become more attractive in her bid to attract men with the bleaching leading to the opposite result. The instrumental version of this track is one of fela's best.

Fela was and will forever be one of the greatest enigmas to come out of Africa.This album is one of his greatest classics...he talked about the African woman trying to copy 'Oyinbo' culture with grave consequences.It is such a calamity that people like Fela were never taken seriously by those who needed his spiritual guidance and political insight always splendidly delivered through his music. Long live Abami Eda!!. Long live Anikulapo Kuti!!. This album is absolutely priceless!!!
