Peerless collection of two LPs, plus extras, covering Lenya at her peak. Noone sings Weill like Lenya, and if her scowling voice appeals, this is the best place to start a Weill collection. Includes ballads from Weill's American musicals, high spots from Cabaret, and three highly charged versions of Mack the Knife, featuring Satchmo and Turk Murphy. Sony did Lenya proud with this reissue, in sparkling sound, nearly 80 mins of music. Don't wait for them to delete it!

Any fan of Lenya's style should snap this up, a wonderful collection showcasing her throaty style, with some tender ballads for good measure. Oh, and there are three wild versions of 'Mack the knife', powered by Turk Murphy and Satchmo.
